I find myself being a little on edge these days with not much time on my hand. When I do have some time for myself I take out my needles and knit a couple of rows. I find it more relaxing than anything else. For my last project I used  just 4 skeins of the wonderful lightweight yarn Fine Degradé by Lana Grossa (45% viscose, 15% silk, 40% Polyamid) which I got on sale. I used the “Easy Breezy Top” Pattern which is found in the book Simple Stitches (Knits with textured Details) by Eva Wiechmann which I bought as a kindle edition. The top is ideal for warm summer days or as a vest and is knitted in one piece from back to front with just two seems on the side. I used a Size 6 needle (4mm). It is mainly knitted in garter stitch with a nice ribbing pattern at the bottom, sides and the V-neck, which makes a nice detail. The pattern is easy to follow and does not require special skills. If you can knit and purl, you can knit this top. It is suited for beginners or experienced knitters who (like me) just want to do a quick fun project. Since front and back of the garment are identical I blocked it after closing the side seams and I am very satisfied with the result. The shirt fits quite nicely.
