Today it was very cold again. Starting in Höngg we walked up the river Limmat to downtown Zurich which takes a little bit more than an hour. Today it took a bit longer because the trail was very icy, so we had to watch our step. We crossed over and under some bridges a couple of times and at one point the trail was closed and we had to walk down the street for a short while.
On our way we passed some fountains that were still running but covered with ice. There was a restaurant along the way where they must have had an ice carving contest. The place was closed, but the sculptures were still standing there for everyone to see.
I like the cold weather and the snow because even on cloudy days everything is a little bit brighter and I start noticing the little things that I would probably miss on a clear and warm day. Snow seems to open up my mind.
